Minister’s MPV allegedly caught tailgating ambulance on NSE – transport ministry will provide explanation

On February 5, a luxurious MPV bearing a ministerial emblem was caught on digital camera supposedly making an attempt to beat a site visitors jam by tailgating an ambulance on the North-South Expressway. Pictures of the incident, stated to have taken place on a stretch between Simpang Pulai and Tapah in Perak, started circulating on social media, the place it was then picked up the New Straits Instances.

Following a public outcry on varied social media platforms, the transport ministry has responded to the problem, saying it is going to make clear the matter. Transport minister Anthony Loke stated that he’ll challenge an evidence concerning the matter quickly, the Malay Mail reported earlier as we speak.

“We’ll speak about this matter later. We now have a much bigger and urgent challenge than that and an evidence might be given,” he stated. When requested if essential individuals (VIPs) have been allowed to tailgate ambulances on highways, Loke stated that was not the case, and an evidence could be given.

Earlier this week, MCA deputy youth chief Chong Yew Chuan had urged Loke to disclose the title of the minister who was allegedly concerned within the incident. Chong stated that as a cupboard member in control of the transport portfolio, Loke wanted to take agency motion on such issues, which have been associated to street security.
